    Mount Aloysius College, recognized by ModernThink as a 2022 and 2023 “Great College to Work For,” seeks applications for a full-time, self-driven Administrative Coordinator in the Human Resources Office.

    The Administrative Coordinator provides administrative, office management and project support to the Human Resources (HR) team. Primary responsibilities involve support of the recruiting and hiring function. Under the direction of the Manager of Talent Acquisition & Development, the successful candidate will coordinate candidate and Search Committee availability, schedule interviews, perform reference checks, request and review background screenings, and perform data entry into HRIS systems.

    This position also supports temporary workforce (student workers, federal work study and adjunct faculty) hiring efforts, total rewards initiatives and events. Supports onboarding activities and ensures completion of payroll and HR paperwork. Maintains strict confidentiality, develops and maintains personnel records and other files, and manages the administrative workflow of the office.

    The Administrative Coordinator is the first point of contact with the Human Resources Office; and is responsible to create a welcoming and positive customer service experience, in alignment with our Mercy Values. Answers general HR-related questions or concerns, and directs matters to other team members as appropriate/when necessary.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Associate degree in secretarial/office administration or related field required; bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years advanced administrative/secretarial experience required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience in human resources is highly preferred.

    Above average oral and written communication, collaboration, and organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy necessary. Trustworthy in use and appropriate disclosure of confidential and sensitive information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Google Suite required; Excel and other database programs preferred. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team required.

    This is a full-time, 12-month benefit eligible position. This position is on campus in Cresson, PA and is not eligible for remote work. This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time; all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of their application.
