The Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown currently has two full-time openings in the HR Department in addition to needing an Accountant for our Catholic Charities organization.
This position is responsible for managing all financial functions for the Catholic Charities offices and the Martha & Mary homeless shelter in order to provide oversight to the Executive Director for planning and maintaining financial endeavors of the overall organization.
This position is responsible for providing administrative support to both the Human Resources and Children & Youth Protection offices in a confidential and professional manner.
Candidates must be supportive of the teachings of the Catholic Church and be able to successfully complete training and clearances applicable to diocesan requirements. Must also possess excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills and have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Human Resources Support Coordinator
This position is responsible for assisting with providing associated support and professional guidance to pastors and locations in addition to implementing daily functions of the department.
Candidates must be actively practicing the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and be able to successfully complete training and clearances applicable to diocesan requirements. Must also have obtained a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and three years of practical experience, have a thorough understanding of best business practices an employment law, have two years of practical experience with employee benefits administration and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and employee information systems.
