The Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown has an opening for a FT Director of Human Resources to be responsible for the overall functions of the office while providing associated guidance and best practices to the diocesan administration, parishes, and related entities.
Qualifications:
· Actively practicing the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
· Able to satisfactorily complete background checks and training applicable to Diocesan requirements.
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources and five years of practical experience or ten years of experience within the Human Resources field
· Two years of leadership experience
· Practical experience with employment law regulations and benefits programs
· Strong communication skills
· High level of organizational and multi- tasking skills in order to provide accurate information while working independently under deadlines
· Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
· Capable of presenting a professional appearance
Preferred: PHR or SHRM-CP certification
