The Human Resource Management Association of Blair County (HRMABC), founded 50 years ago, is a local chapter affiliated with the national Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). SHRM National is a world-wide professional association of human resource professionals with more than 95,000 members and more than 430 chapters in all 50 states. SHRM also serves members in 55 countries.

Our three main areas of focus:

• Provide a wide range of educational seminars, programs and other activities that allow members to develop their expertise in the various functional areas that constitute human resource management.
  
  
• Provide a forum for members to meet and share information that will help them address human resource issues in their respective organizations.
  
  
• Undertake programs and activities that serve to increase awareness and understanding of the human resource management profession by the business community, government and the general public.

We proudly serve approximately 100 members and sponsor a local Student Chapter on the campus of Saint Francis University. Members represent diverse group of organizations: public and private companies from the manufacturing, distribution, service sectors, government, not-for-profit agencies, and organizations dedicated to education and health care bring to the association a broad range of knowledge from each of their organizations.
